Meet The Lifestyle Fitness Team

Dave Rowe

Head Coach & Owner

After undergoing lifesaving heart surgery back in 2008, I decided that I needed to make some big changes to become physically fit and to lead a healthier lifestyle.

At the ripe old age of 40 I became a fitness instructor and a qualified body and lifestyle coach, as well as a doctor referral specialist.

I am so proud of my team and was honoured in 2018 to come runner up in the National Fitness Awards.

I love pushing people and coaching them through the process of doing things they didn’t think they could do. All my sessions are based on increasing physical performance, getting great results.

I try to finish my classes and training sessions with a game or challenge as often as I can, because it’s important to remember that exercise is not to be taken too seriously!

Robyn Harris

PT, Zumba & Fitness Instructor

I have been in the fitness industry since leaving school and I’m very passionate about helping and encouraging others to do their very best. 

I run our Mums, Bums and Tums classes where mums can bring their babies to the gym and work out without the worry of childcare.

My classes are fun and can be tough but you will get results!


Yoga Instructor

I specialise in teaching yoga for all abilities and levels, ensuring that everyone in the class gets the very best out of their yoga practice.

You don’t have to be a super flexible Yogi to join my Yoga sessions, as I always guide you through every step, delivering personal correction throughout.

Angela Rowe

Office Manager

I qualified at level 3 in the fitness industry with Dave over 10 years ago. 

You’ll often see me behind reception and completing your membership forms! I do love working at Lifestyle Fitness and getting to know all the members. 

I also own and run Island Glow beauty salon and Halo Spa in town, so feel free to come down and get pampered after working hard at the gym.

Suzanne Travell

Fitness Instructor

I started off as a client at the gym, lost weight and became passionate about fitness & helping others.

I qualified as a Fitness Instructor shortly after, and now love helping and encouraging others in classes.

Due to my health improving, after many years I fell pregnant and now have the first Lifestyle Fitness baby!

Jenna Gibbs

Receptionist and Administrator

I’ve been in and out of fitness environments for years, and love learning about nutrition, the body and psychology. 

Part of the Honey Heels Performance Squad in Southend, I regularly perform in dance shows and events, and love to encourage others to have the confidence to do things they didn’t think possible. For example, Dave never knew he could be organised before I came along! 

Megan Rowe

PT & Fitness Instructor

I’m extremely passionate about all things fitness and health related, and love sharing my passion and knowledge with others.

I coach people of all ages and abilities, specialising in weight training for women, as well as teaching classes.

I’ve recently attained a Sports Massage Qualification so I can help to improve your results and muscle stamina.

Sharon Dag

Zumba Instructor & Level 2 Gym Instructor

Just like Suzanne, I was a client with Lifestyle Fitness first of all, and loved the community spirit here. 

My passion is Bootcamps and Dance and I am a qualified Zumba Instructor, as well as a fully qualified Fitness Instructor. My goal is to help everyone get fit while having fun!

Beth Carroll

PT, Fitness Instructor & Martial Artist

I’ve been a part of the Martial Arts community for a long time, and love competing in both Martial Arts and Weight Lifting.

I have a host of different qualifications, always looking to improve the experience I can give to my clients. I’m also a trained Doctor Referral Specialist and Nutritional Advisor.

Mike Reed

Fitness Instructor

My background is in football, and I’ve played ever since I was little. Teams I’ve played on have won the Essex Cup Junior Alliance League, the college National League and I also played for Canvey Island Reserves. 


I have a real passion for fitness, and have a lot of knowledge to share. Recently I completed my Spin Instructor course and a Kettlebell Instructor course and teach these classes a few times a week.
